Fall Time Is Near

It is that time of year folks - The leaves are beginning to show signs that fall is getting ever closer . It's one of my favorite seasons . I just love the vibrant colors that nature creates . I'm a nerd , I know . But it's true - fall is great ! It makes me want to watch Halloween movies , like Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin , or The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow . And even though I am too old to go trick - or - treating , it makes me want to dress up in crazy costumes .  Plus , I love accessorizing my outfits with scarves and other things .

Get out your scarves , hats , and sweaters - fall is here !

So I was thinking , what are some activities that are fun to do in the fall ? Here are some of the things that I came up with :

- Make candy or caramel apples .
- Decorate your house with fall time or Halloween decorations .
- Toss around a football with friends or family .
- Start coming up with a Halloween costume .
- Have a bonfire .
- Make a fort .
- Make Halloween goodies .
- Take a walk and collect leaves .
- Pick apples .
- Learn to knit .
- Start a puzzle .
- Get out the board games and play with family or friends .
- Have a game night with neighbors and friends .
- Make chili  .
- Try out a new soup recipe .

I don't know ! Whatever sounds fun - just give it a go .

So here is my question for you bloggers out there : What kinds of fun activities do you participate in during the fall season ?

Have a good day all .

Hiking

This past weekend my family , some friends , and I were able to go hiking . With it being my idea , I decided to climb Beacon Rock - and here is what it looks like down below . . .

Picture From Google
My computer has been acting really wonky lately and will no longer let me upload pictures from my camera , so I am stuck with emailing myself pictures from my phone . It sucks . So I apologize in advance that I was not able to get a picture of the Rock myself and for the poor quality of my phones pictures that you will see below.

But anyways - my family and I have been looking for ways to get more active so that we can be healthier . As a result we are looking for some fun activities to do , such as hiking . This was my second time climbing Beacon Rock , and my mom's third - but none of my other family members have climbed it - so it was a fun time for them to try something new .

So without further ado - here are some pictures from our adventure . . .

Looking down at some friends .

Checking out the view with Dad

At the tree tops - crazy !

Looking Down a looong ways

Well , I hope you enjoyed - and here is my question for you bloggers today - what activites do you participate in to stay healthy and have fun?

Have a good day bloggers .

It's Raining Forks . . .

So , this is kind of random but I just thought that it was funny . So here I am - sharing my morning discovery with all of you .

Yup - that's right . Those are forks . . . in my front yard .

I don't mind really , my family and I thought it was funny .

We think we have a pretty good idea of who did this too - since it isn't the first prank we've had .

So we are fine with it - the prankster is a good friend of ours .

Besides , I'm sure we will get him back .

; D

So here is a question for you bloggers out there - what pranks have been done to you ? Or what pranks have you yourself participated in ?

Have a good day bloggers!

What's Your Talent ?

I'm on the right side and my friend is on the left .

Not so long ago , my church organized an activity - an activity known as , yup you guessed it , a talent show . At this talent show , my friend and I decided to create a rap song . We had created one previously about our families just for fun - so we thought , hey , why not ? Well let me let you in on a little secret . . . we can't rap . Quite frankly , we aren't very good at it - however , we decided it would be something fun to do with our time . After all the lyrics weren't too bad . Long story short , we sang our rap song in front of our church at this talent show and guess what ? Everyone LOVED it .They couldn't stop laughing . Not because we were bad , but because of our lyrics . We had made the lyrics about the Bishop , his counselors , and their wives . Things they probably didn't know about - fun things and little quirks about them . It was a great way to get to know them and for the audience to get to know them as well . After the performance , my friend and I felt great ! Not only had we made people laugh , and had ourselves a good time , but we developed a new talent ( even if we weren't very good at it ) .

So here is where I get to my point . In the scriptures it talks about developing and practicing our talents . Whether they be playing the piano , being artistic , singing , running , anything ! It can even be something small that we don't always think about - like making people smile or laugh, or having a talent of making conversation . It can be anything . Whatever the talent , it makes you who you are - so why not make it better ?

So here is my question for you bloggers out there - What talents do you have ? How can you improve upon those talents ? And if you don't know what your talent ( s ) is then try new things and figure out what it is . You'll never know what you can do until you put your mind to it . Good luck all - and have a fabulous day .

Imaginary Friend

This is yet another poem written by , that's right , the one and only , ME . It's not perfect but I am pleased with how it turned out . This is another piece that I wrote while in school . Enjoy~

Imaginary Friend

We played together all the time –
never left one another’s side.
We made mud cakes
decorated them with grass sprinkles.
I pushed you on the swing
because you couldn’t push me.
We played hide-n-seek and I’d always tag you.

You were my best friend
while we watched the other children play.
One day as we giggled and laughed,
mommy told me we couldn’t play so much.
I held on to you for as long as I could,
but eventually you began to fade.
As I grew older you were soon forgotten.
But to this day, I miss the times
when we would talk and play.
You’d never judge me.
Why can’t I find someone
like you?

Here is a question for you bloggers out there - did you ever have an imaginary friend ? Who were they and what did you do to pass time or have fun ?

Have a good day friend .
